Refuse Collection
Castlebar Town Council no longer provides a waste collection service. However, householders should contact a permitted waste collector to organise for the collection of their waste.
Waste Collection Permits are administered by Mayo County Council. A waste collector must have a valid waste collection permit otherwise the householder/business proprietor using the collector to dispose of their waste will be liable to prosecution under the waste management acts 1996 – 2003.
