2nd April 2013 @ 6.00pmA group of nineteen (19) visitors from twin town Hoechstadt in Germany visited Castlebar from Wednesday 27th March to Wednesday 3rd April 2013. On 2nd April 2013 the Mayor hosted a special reception for our visitors at Lough Lannagh Holiday Village at 6pm. A Light buffet was served along with traditional Irish music.

On Good Friday 29th March 2013 the Mayor launched the German inspired Easter Tree at Marsh House. Entertainment was provided for by Castlebar Town Band.

Farmer's Market
Farmer's Market is held every Friday commencing at 9am in Market Square, Castlebar. Customers have a wide choice of fresh produce ranging from fresh fish, home bakery, home made cheese and many more.
